Elizabeth will soon be the home to two of South Australia’s
biggest digital advertising screens, providing local businesses, schools, and
community organisations with the opportunity to promote and showcase their
services and brands.
The screens will be provided by KGC Media, a family owned South
Australian business operating from Mawson Lakes.
This initiative has been made possible through a lease agreement
with the City of Playford and KGC Media, which aims to transform the Main North
Road/Philip Highway and Yorktown Road intersection with the installation of
large digital advertising screens.
KGC Media Director, Mrs Hira Khan Khattak said, “Elizabeth is
truly a bustling city centre surrounded by the vibrant shopping district,
offering a wide range of investment opportunities.”
“We are very excited to be investing in one of the fastest growing
regions in the country and look forward to delivering this project,” said Mrs Khattak.
“The digital screens will transform this busy intersection,
providing great opportunities for businesses to advertise their brands as well
as for Playford Council to promote its community messages to the public,” said
Mrs Khattak.
As part of the proposal, KGC Media will install, operate, and
maintain the digital screens and provide lease revenue to the City of Playford
in addition to complementary advertising opportunities.
“Our commitment to this investment extends beyond just the
screens, our subsidiary companies have built state-of-the-art specialist
disability accommodation in this region, and we also provide disability support
services through our Livability Care Australia brand to many participants in
the north,” said Mrs Khattak.
“We welcome this opportunity to partner with the City of Playford
to enhance the public space and provide a new service offering to the business
and wider community,” said Mrs Khattak.
These digital screens will not only provide dynamic and
eye-catching advertising opportunities for local businesses but also serve as a
platform for community messaging, connecting residents with important
information, including updates, events, and local news in Playford.
The new screens are some of
the first carbon-neutral digital billboards in Australia, supplied and
installed by leading LED screen provider Big Screen Video; a carbon-neutral
organisation headquartered in Adelaide.
BSV Chief Executive Officer,
Paul Ellery, said “Partnering with KCG Media in delivering a community focused
installation, with both sustainability at the forefront and championing South
Australian businesses, reflects our shared values.”
“It’s exciting to see KCG
Media adopt an innovative approach, and we look forward to a longstanding partnership,”
said Mr Ellery.
Preparation for installation of the screens will commence from Friday 11 October 2024. With screens scheduled to be operational from mid November 2024.
